Policies

Overview

Leo’s Tutoring Services is built around structure, fairness, and respect for everyone’s time. These policies exist to ensure sessions run smoothly, expectations are clear, and all families receive a consistent and professional experience.

By booking a session, you acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined below.

Scheduling & Attendance

• Sessions must be scheduled in advance through the official booking system.

• Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared for their session

• There will be a 5 minute "grace-period" past the scheduled time, students who arrive during this period will be considered on-time

Late Arrival

• Students who arrive 5 minutes or more late will lose that time.

• Missed time due to late arrival is not refunded or rescheduled.

• I will wait no more than 30 minutes past the scheduled start time.

• Students who arrive 30 minutes late or more are considered no-shows.

Cancellations & Refunds

Late Cancellations

• Late cancellations receive a 50% refund.

• The remaining 50% is retained as a late cancellation fee.

No-Shows

• No-shows receive no refund.

• No-shows are not eligible for rescheduling.

A no-show includes:

• Not attending the session at all

• Arriving 30 minutes or more late

Technical Issues

• Client-side technical issues do not qualify for refunds or rescheduling.

• Tutor-side technical issues will result in rescheduling or refund.

These policies exist to protect scheduled time that cannot be recovered once missed.

Rescheduling

• Rescheduling is only available for sessions canceled within 12 or more hours in advance.

• Sessions classified as late cancellations or no-shows are not eligible for rescheduling.

Pauses During Sessions

Sessions may be briefly paused for valid reasons such as:

• • Bathroom breaks

  • Emergencies

  • Short technical interruptions

• Pauses must be reasonable and limited.

• Excessive or repeated pauses may not be accommodated.

• Pauses do not guarantee session extensions and are handled at the tutor’s discretion.

Trial Sessions

• Trial sessions are limited to 1 per student.

• Any attempt to abuse the Trial Session, including creating false profiles, re-registering the same student under different information, repeatedly selecting the Trial option, or exploiting perceived loopholes will result in immediate and indefinite suspension from all services. 

Siblings

Leo’s Tutoring Services values the individuality of every student, and for that, siblings of existing or former students are each eligible for their own Trial Session, only if it is their first time.

Payments

• Payment is required to confirm a session.

• Leo’s Tutoring Services does not store or have access to payment method details.

• Only payment status (paid/unpaid) is recorded for administrative purposes.

• Sessions are not considered booked until payment is received. 

Technical Issues

Clients are responsible for having:

• • A stable internet connection

  • A functional device
    
    

• Client-side technical issues do not qualify for refunds or rescheduling.
  
  

• Tutor-side technical issues will result in a reschedule or refund.

Student Conduct & Expectations

• Students are expected to remain respectful, engaged, and appropriate.

• Students should arrive prepared with relevant materials or questions when applicable.

• Constant disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in early session termination without refund.

Parent Responsibilities

• Parents are responsible for ensuring a quiet, distraction-free learning environment.

• Parents may observe sessions but should avoid interrupting instruction unless necessary.

• Parent–Tutor conferences must be scheduled in advance (available on sundays only).

Scope of Tutoring

• Tutoring provides academic guidance and support only.

• Homework, exams, and graded work are not completed on behalf of students.

• Academic outcomes are not guaranteed.

• ELL services focus on language development and communication skills, not certification or official testing.

Privacy & Recording

• Sessions may not be recorded without prior consent.

• Student information is used solely to provide personalized tutoring services.

• Records may be deleted upon request.
  
  

Communication

• Communication is limited to reasonable hours and response times.

• Excessive or inappropriate communication may not be accommodated.

Policy Updates

• Policies may be updated as needed.

• Continued use of services indicates acceptance of the most current policies.
